Al di là di tutte le presentazioni e i video in anteprima, il cuore dell'evento The Game Awards 2014 erano comunque le premiazioni.
Ecco dunque i vincitori all'interno delle varie categorie videoludiche per quest'anno, che vedono scelte alquanto variegate fatte dalla giuria anche in questo caso. Da notare, in particolare, il titolo di Game of the Year assegnato a Dragon Age: Inquisition e Sviluppatore dell'anno andato a Nintendo, che si aggiudica anche il Best Fighting Game con Super Smash Bros. e il Best Sports/Racin Game con Mario Kart 8, che conquista anche il titolo di Best Family Game.
