King Kong e Lord of The Rings...
In un intervista con Cinescape, Peter Jackson regista de "Lord of the Rings" ha parlato a lungo del Remake mai avvenuto di un classico come "King Kong".
Inaspettatamente si scopre che lavorando contemporaneamente alle due succitate pellicole, King Kong doveva avere la precedenza e essere quindi completato per primo. Sfortunatamente la Univesal non era dell'idea e il progetto fu bloccato dopo sei mesi di lavoro. Le motivazioni date dallo stesso regista?
"(Universal) DANTE'S PEAK and Fox's VOLCANO had sort of raced to see which was going to release first. Universal had poured millions of dollars into DANTE'S PEAK to win that race and KING KONG was looking like it was going to be the third movie in a year when GODZILLA and MIGHTY JOE YOUNG were due to be released. Universal just didn't have the stomach for another race to try and get KONG out before those other two films.
