Dopo l'annichilente lancio di Monster Hunter Stories è una settimana ricca di nuovi arrivi sul mercato giapponese, quella inquadrata dai nuovi dati di vendita Media Create dal 10 al 16 ottobre.
In ogni caso, nessuna delle pur valide new entry è riuscita comunque a scalfire il dominio dello spin-off in stile RPG della serie Capcom, che mantiene la prima posizione della classifica software nonostante un notevole calo nelle vendite rispetto alla settimana precedente. Monster Hunter Stories è dunque ancora primo in classifica mentre secondo si piazza la migliore delle new entry di questa settimana, ovvero Rise of the Tomb Raider. A seguire gli altri due nuovi titoli di spessore, ovvero Paper Mario: Color Splash e Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter.
Sul fronte hardware, si registra l'ottimo lancio di PlayStation VR, evidentemente considerato come piattaforma a parte da Media Create, con oltre 50.000 unità vendute. A seguire PlayStation 4 che è dunque ancora la prima tra le console, con Nintendo 3DS a ruota.
